Transportation

Some by land, some by sea and some by air... Getting to the ILA's 33rd Annual Convention at the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside.

We will be waiting to welcome you to the Great Pacific Northwest so here's how we're planning to help you get there.

By Land: For those of you living in the Northwest part of the US, you can drive to Seattle and take the ferry (car and passenger) across to the Bremerton peninsula, or you can drive directly there from Tacoma via Washington Route 16W and Washington Route 3N. If you are a train traveler, the Amtrak station ((King Street Station) is the closest to the ferry dock.

By Sea: For those who want an extended vacation, you can cruise up to Seattle Harbor and then ferry across to Bremerton. For those with your own yacht, power or sail, you can dock at the Bremerton Harbor (just plan on taking some of us out for a day trip over the weekend!).

By Air: Most of us will be flying into the Seattle area. Flights to Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) are frequent as it's both a business and recreation area. Check the airfare widget below to get an idea of current airfares from around the world to Seattle.

Shuttle/Taxi/Light Rail Service:

But the airport is not your final destination, so we've tried to make it as easy for you to get from the airport to the Conference Center as we could. Since we did not get most people's iteneraries, we have made arrangements with a Shuttle Service to provide a discounted fare to all attendees.

Please use this URL - http://shuttleexpress.hudsonltd.net/res?USERIDENTRY=ILA&LOGON=GO to reserve your ride.

When signing up for the ferry, you want to go to Pier 52 - Coleman Pier - which you can find in the dropdown menu "Special Places" (Thanks Laura!!))

Please note that the rate of $24.70 is for each way of a round trip purchase. Also note that it is for one OR two people! So find a friend and save some money!!!

The only restrictions to group fares are that they have to be paid by cash or a single credit card. Get to know each other, share a van and save some money!

Email me with any questions.

Light Rail

There is a light rail line that runs from the airport into downtown Seattle. The Pioneer Square station is roughly a five block walk from the ferry dock. The cost of the light rail service is $2.75.

The Ferry from Seattle to Bremerton Harborside:
One of the highlights of this venue is the hour-long ferry ride from Seattle Harbor to Bremerton Harborside. It is a beautiful and relaxing cruise. The cost of the ferry is a very reasonable $7.50 Round Trip. For those who have reached senior status, over 65, you can purchase a round-trip ticket for $3.75.

If you have any further questions regarding transportation, email info@ila2012.org and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
